I quickly say: “thank you for work, it’s meant a lot to me” or some such quick comment and move on. I’ve never been rebuked.
Sometimes we’ve even ended up joining the table for no reason other than the celeb invited us and/or continued the conversation on their own.
Never a pic or autograph. NEVER.
I do remember a time when a borough Pfizer us were at Orso and one person at our table passed a note saying, DONT LOOK but Barbara Walters is at the next table. As we passed the note one by one we all looked. And then laughed, but never bothered her. |
