| How happy to read about Leigh Barrett's award, richly deserved. This woman came out of nowhere to land the role of Fosca in Speakeasy's Passion, probably the Boston area premiere. It was expected that another, known actress would take the part, but if I remember correctly that actress didn't audition. Bottom line is Ms. Barrett wowed, and continued to do so in any number of roles until I exited Boston in 2005 and continued to do so after. She has always been a class act, on and offstage. BRAVO for this recognition, Boston area would have been a less exciting place without her great talents. |
