You’re very welcome, Clancy! I’m glad you were able to catch her performance. Except for “When Did I Fall in Love?” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” she regaled us with pretty much the same songs (not surprisingly).
That story about the fiasco at the Sondheim PEN Benefit was hilarious, wasn’t it? She may be “Audra the Broadway Goddess” to us, but to that audience, she might as well be a routine announcement on the subway — just background noise to ignore until it’s time to get off. |
