| I saw Lansbury in DEAR WORLD and thought she was magnificent and magical. The show itself had major flaws, but Angela did not disappoint. I don't recall whether I saw the show before or after her Tony win, but as best I remember, I wasn't surprised she won. To this day I still have vivid memories of her haunted, distant, very poignant singing of "And I Was Beautiful." |
