Conroy is 64; "A" belongs in her future.

One of the strengths of this production is the age-appropriate casting. This play is about the particular rigors and mysteries of aging. Conroy, a boomer (full disclosure, so am I) is not remotely the age of Jackson or "A." Playing almost 30 years older removes the powerful immediacy of this production. I'd welcome the chance to see her take on "B" again.

Ellen Burstyn is more right for "A, " if we're dream casting.
