re: OCR of "West Side Story" album cover -- when would Tony and Maria have had time to joyously run around the neighborhood hand in hand and as openly as depicted?
I've liked this album cover ever since I realized that it was taken on my block. You can read the address on the trash can in the photo and I live a few buildings over from the building they are running by.
There's a public high school on the block and it's not uncommon during the school year to see hoards of young people around in the mornings and afternoons. It's very easy for me to envision Tony and Maria running up the street.
