I'd love to see Karl finally win a Tony ... but there's a long way between ''Pretty Woman's'' opening in August and the Tonys next June.
Like Delvino, I believe that had Karl opened in ''Groundhog Day'' THIS season, he would've been a slam-dunk to prevail.
Rarely is a Best Actor in a Musical field this skimpy: only 5 candidates, and 2 of 4 the Tony nominees could win on his 1st nomination.
Next season will be much more competitive. Possible contenders could include Aaron Tveit in ''Moulin Rouge,'' Santino Fontana in ''Tootsie'' ... |
