Critics did give him credit for his vocals, but missing in the reviews was any sense of chemistry between Barks and Kazee.
Anyway, there had been rumors that Kazee was getting replaced, even before the show wrapped up its run in Chicago, but who knows?
Still, according to the reviews, the show has its share of shortcomings in storytelling and score, so its leading man is only part of the puzzle. |
