Every month, Blue Jupiter’s “A Cappella Party” features an evening of a cappella music to that features songs from pop and Broadway, to doo-wop and barbershop. The May edition of Blue Jupiter’s “A Cappella Party” celebrates women in a cappella, including special guests Stilletta, Grace McLean, and Martini Glass. Stiletta, the all-female pop and dance a cappella group, is the 2016 Harmony Sweepstakes Champions, and the first group in history to win First Place, Best Arrangement, and Audience Favorite. The evening takes the audience through an evening of pop ballads, jazz standards and musical theater favorites, including songs made famous by Amy Winehouse and Frank Sinatra. In this intimate evening of music with a wonderfully colorful set list, Eva sings from her heart and reveals a side of her story you’ve never heard. The recording is comprised mostly of original material co-written with bassist/arranger Pat O’Leary and co-lyricist Jason Robinson. Since its release the album has won praise from around the country. The Huffington Post called it “...a breakthrough recording, serving up a dazzling mélange of the seductive, sophisticated vocals that have long been her hallmark.” According to LA Jazz Scene, “Dream Ago is filled with fresh, melodic and unpredictable music from a brilliant and inventive singer. MYKAL KILGORE Monday, June 4 at 7:00 PM Mykal Kilgore, the celebrated vocalist from The Wiz Live! on NBC TV, Postmodern Jukebox, Motown on Broadway and more, returns to The Green Room 42. The show features original music from Mykal’s upcoming album and covers of some of music’s most heralded pop favorites with a Kilgore twist. THE SHAPIRO SISTERS “ A Journey Continues” Friday, June 15 at 9:30 PM Tony Award winner and Grammy Award nominee Milly Shapiro (A24's Hereditary, Matilda) and Abigail Shapiro (How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Liberty the Musical) team up for their Green Room 42 debut in The Shapiro Sisters: The Journey Continues. Milly Shapiro is a Tony Award winner and Grammy Award nominee for her role as Matilda in the original Broadway production of Matilda The Musical. She appears in the feature role of Charlie in A24’s film Hereditary, which made its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
