| Yes, i am referring to the pre-Broadway which, I assume, includes the gangster subplot. I have a copy of the Broadway version but have always been intrigued by the pre-Broadway. I assume it must exist somewhere. I have the original lyrics for "All The Things You Are". (readily available as you probably know). The McGlinn concert which includes the original lyrics is simply exquisite and, of course, so very "Hammerstein" in terms of his execution/ evolution of the conditional love song. |
