| I recently rewatched "Unfaithful," in which he defines the film's second half. When he discover's Lane's betrayal, his implosion is subtle and so real the pain seeps out of every pore. I was startled at how good he is in that film, and played an All That Chat parlor game, trying to imagine him returning to the stage. What role would be suitable? Some ideas, not all that great: Quentin in "After the Fall?" (I know, too old.) He could've been persuasive in Rabe's "Hurlyburly," or maybe a Gurney play? |
