Very stressful to have 6 or 7 people on a bathroom line (at Classic Stage Company) and have someone keep saying over & over how many minutes til curtain. What are you supposed to do? Bum rush everyone to the stall and knock people over to get to the stall? And bang on the stall door if someone's taking too long? Perhaps the theater should invest in bigger bathrooms if it's such an agenda for them to start on time and make people so nervous and stressed out. The theater seats over 160 people, so I'd think they'd realize their bathrooms are VERY inadequate. Also perhaps the theater should let you have your playbill at the beginning of the show, you know, like most theaters do these days. At least people would have something to do rather than close their eyes or pass out sleeping, like many did, during this dull show.
Regardless - the takeaway is to go see Boys in the Band and Unexpected Joy. Both are highly recommended!! |
