| But aside from whether she has a point or not, I must say the Times critics in general (and especially Jesse Green) are beginning to remind me of Davey Crocket at the end of that Disney movie waving his rifle wildly and hopelessly around his head while the Mexican enemy takes over the Alamo. There's simply nothing the Times can do to fight off its growing irrelevance to the fate of big Broadway productions, and the more panicked and bitter they become, the less they matter. Poor Davey! |
