Fair enough. I'm not suggesting anything about the level their power (which has clearly diminished with brand name shows) but merely that the diminishment seems to have driven them a little crazy in the way they approach that reality. There's no question that shows like "The Beast in the Jungle" depend on them to a great degree and "Frozen" not at all. But the way they write about shows like "Frozen" seems to me to betray a kind of alarm that is mostly about their waning influence, not about the show at all.
