The Gentlemen Caller and the digital Playbill

I saw "The Gentlemen Caller" last night at the Cherry Lane theater. The play is well done and very well acted with some good writing but, ultimately its unsatisfying. The relationship between Williams and Inge is ultimately overpowered by meandering dialogue and a pandering to the histrionics of the Williams character. The characters are written as extremes. The play never satisfactorily answers the question of why these extremes would be attracted to each other.

When we entered the theater we were handed a piece of paper about the size of a business card. The usher identified it as THE DIGITAL PLAYBILL. It had a URL where all of the info on the production could be found.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is it a trend? I hope not!
