Well - it was the 70's. The original cast, of course, had one African American man, one Hispanic woman, and one Asian American woman. I dont believe the diversity on Broadway or in the first National changed much from the opening night cast.

While not 'non traditional'. the most racially diverse cast in a musical in the 1975-1976 season was likely 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
