| No. Don't get me wrong. I loved TBV, but in my view, it doesn't come close to Hamilton. Nor in my opinion does it come close to Dear Evan Hansen. Both of these shows will be running for a long, long time after The Band's Visit closes. And while I agree that the length of a show's run is not necessarily indicative of its quality when you compare one show to another, that has to be at least part of the equation. And again, I think that TBV will win Tonys for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score and Best Direction and deserve them all. |
