| Even if Cursed Child were willing to do some sort of presentation, it's unlikely it would amount to more than the usual filmed footage - Aside from the fact that I don't see them excerpting the play effectively, or wanting to ruin any of the magic or stage illusions, this is a strange year in that all 4 of the other Best Play nominees have long since closed (the most recent closed back in March). My guess is they'll find some way to feature it slightly more - having some of the actors present in costume, maybe even spoiling one of the effects that briefly fly out over the audience in a way that doesn't give away any of the plot - but not by giving it any kind of extended showcase. |
