I agree almost completely. We bought tickets for The Producers when they first went on sale, for two different dates, hoping the pedigree would pan out. Well, when we saw it shortly after it opened, and to this day, my husband and me, as well as other friends who saw it, I think it is one of the best and funniest musical comedies we’ve ever seen. Not since A Funny Thing... !
Now I must admit I’ve not seen every musical ever on Broadway but I do agree with your examples. |
