Just one year after her Off-Broadway production of RIDE THE CYCLONE earned so much acclaim, the veteran Chicago director and choreographer has died of ovarian cancer at age 49.

She directed and/or choreographed dozens of productions in the last 15 years, mostly in Chicago, often at the Drury Lane, the Marriott Lincolnshire, and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Among her most acclaimed:

OCTOBER SKY at The Old Globe, with Ron Bohmer and Kerry O'Malley
HELLO, DOLLY! at the Drury Lane, with Karen Ziemba
SWEENEY TODD at the Drury Lane, with Gregg Edelman and Liz McCartney
RAGTIME at the Drury Lane, with Quentin Earl Darrington

Performers including Jessie Mueller and Hannah Elless appeared in the ensembles of her shows before moving on to bigger roles.
