| Joe and Mika just reported that they attended Margaritaville last night. Joe commented that it was a great show -- no mention that the production had just announced its premature closing. That's a far cry from Mika grilling the Spiderman producers back in 2011 when they came on the morning show to discuss Julie Taymor's departure, the re-tooling of the show, and the new opening date of 6/14/11. Mika (as I recall) insisted they address the issue of whether the show's ongoing turmoil would affect its ultimate commercial viability. Reminds me of Willie Geist (back in 2014) introducing cast members from Hollar If Ya Hear Hear Me as the stars of the hottest show on Broadway just a week before it too was forced to close. | |
