| Yes, that is my impression. There is no performance. It's a news and talk show. I have never known them to publicize in advance that a Broadway celebrity is dropping by on any given day. It's not like the Tonight Show or Colbert. The celebrity just shows up, chats for a bit, plugs his/her show, and that's it. Someone like Tom Hanks (who apparently is a good friend) may well hang around for more than a few minutes. It wouldn't surprise me if Jim Parsons just shows up soon to show everyone his boot and cane. It's always pretty casual. Of course, maybe it's all planned and they make it look spontaneous (but I don't think it is). I've been posting about Morning Joe here for years. I just assumed there were a bunch of people on ATC who watched the show. |
