Well, you've waited this long to see it; it's time to rush. Leave a little bit of time, though, to give you space from the stage show. You may still find the movie underwhelming, but personally, I think it's brilliant.
I know there hasn't been a lot of love for "Frozen" on Broadway, but let's remember that most Disney shows get little love from Broadway folks. I can't comment because I haven't seen it, but I wouldn't use the meh response to tell whether the show is good or not. That's why I paid so much for that awful "Tarzan." When everyone hates a Disney show, it's hard to tell if it's warranted because they never (seem to) get any love. No, their shows are rarely as good as "Hello, Dolly!" or "King and I," but I really love "Beauty and the Beast," "Aida," "Newsies," "The Lion King," and "Mary Poppins." ("The Little Mermaid" and "Tarzan" are other stories.) |
