I saw Miss Uggams in HALLELUJAH BABY, HER FIRST ROMAN(3 x), and as Desiree in ALNM at Michigan Opera theater (co-star was Ron Raines). She was wonderful in all three shows, tho the quality of the material varied. I also remember her winning on Name that Tune, which was required viewing for our Family. I keep hoping she'll win another Tony, so she can accept the award with having 'additional dialogue' from Groucho Marx.
