| Just watched original film “Dirty Dancing” with Patrick Swayze, etc., and was struck by screenwiters’ knowlege of Broadway showtunes. In one scene Baby’s older sister tells daddy (Jerry Ohrbach) and the family that she plans to audition for a spot in the annual end-of-season talent show for the staff and guests at the Kellermans Catskill Mountains resort. Asked what song she plans to sing for the audition, she smiles and says, “‘I Feel Pretty’...or ‘What Do the Simple Folk Do?’” |
