| I always thought the BIRDCAGE(dir. by Mike Nichols?) was superior to LA CAGE AUX FOLLES fr film/ the 3rd one was a dud, but my all-time favorite is LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (DEUX).Our hero and heroine(Hero) get caught up in a spy ring, have to go undercover. and the plot- necessary bourgeois tweeking of the first film is no longer needed , so we can just dispense with the setups and enjoy the ride.
