| Park could benefit from last year's Come from Away consolation Tony precedent. Mean Girls actually looks like this year's Come from Away, i.e., a likely commercial success (perhaps a huge one) despite mildly positive to mixed critical response and word of mouth. The Band's Visit seems poised to best Mean Girls in most of the major categories in which they are in head-to-head competition. However, voters may choose to reward Mean Girls in a category like Featured Actress or Book, which seem to be the show's strongest candidates. |
