And of course this year also has Andrew Garfield. I think it unlikely that voters would compare prior winners in deciding who they feel gave the best performance.

If the current frontrunners (at GoldDerby.com) all win, at least half of the actors will have won for previously Tony-winning roles. I'm thinking Garfield (Prior Walter), Lane (for Roy Cohn), Mendez (for Carrie Pipperidge) and Butz (for Alfred P. Doolittle). And if Ambrose wins Best Actress, she'll be the first one to win for Eliza in ''My Fair Lady.'' (Julie Andrews & Melissa Errico each lost.)
