| As a Chinese American theater goer who has attended plays and musicals for many years, I rarely get to see plays about Chinese Americans or Chinese characters that I like. There just aren't many to choose from. I didn't know the work of Lauren Yee and knew nothing about The Great Leap. This is a fine play and an engaging one. It gives BD Wong a very strong part, too. Though I guessed some of what was going to be revealed, I was very surprised by the end. Highly recommended. |
