| I didn't find the original post to be critical of singers needing water, or water bottles on piano. I read nothing into it except the amazement that Audra sang brilliantly for 2 solid hours without even needing any water. | |

| It IS amazing. I say this with no tude other than it's something I notice. I remember seeing both Bernadette and Streisand in concert and there was a lot of tending to water and hot tea set ups, etc. etc. NOT a problem for me, but it was there to be observed. Then I saw a Celine Dion concert and was just in awe that she sang at the level she does, flawlessly, without taking a sip of water (that I could see). There is probably something physiological at play too. Not every person is known for having "chords of steel", probably because so few do. | |

| I think your key phrase would be "that I could see" lol. But yes, all singers are different, and some singers need to hydrate more than others. No solo singer can have "chords" of any kind, though, steel or not - it takes at least 3 of them to do that - save the Tibetan monks, perhaps. ;-) | |

| That is exactly what I meant! Thank you for pointing that out. How could I express "tude" after raving so about her? | |

| You may be right - but the way it was phrased, I did read some tude in it. I have certainly heard people make disparaging comments about singers/actors being tethered to bottled water these days, lol - so it seemed to me to be something similar. My apologies if it wasn't meant that way. | |
