If Slater should win, I doubt it has anything to do with him being American (any more than Glenda Jackson's likely to win for being British).
Besides, Shalhoub's American, too, and he's far better-known than Slater: He's a 3-time Emmy winner and 4-time Tony nominee.
Joshua Henry also identifies as American. Though this 3-time Tony nominee was born in Manitoba, he was raised in Florida and lives in Harlem. |
