LCT-okay-so lots of us got ROW O, P and Q-it is the NEW economics of theater-going in NYC

I expected that most of the first 2/3 of the orchestra would be held back. Have been a LTC member for 30 years, yet this is the new economics of seating in airlines and theaters. Gone are the days of being "first in line" and getting Row G, center orchestra. I remember those times, yet few things stay the same. Not ideal, yet sitting in Row P is not going to change my life and we will be seeing a Broadway show , where most people in the audience will be paying $175-$200. All positive from my POV.

Well, it's the economics of non-profits pairing with profits

My Roundabout seat for Children of a Lesser God was certainly considerably farther back than my regular subscriber seat. C'est la vie!

I'm usually AA and I was back in row M. But I didn't particularly enjoy it, so I didn't mind too much! :-D

Don't forget this is a commercial production (Scott Rudin) in association with LCT. So LCT does not have access to all of the seats in the house.

I'm not sure I understand>Years. the one year I signed up for SHOW=OF=THE=Month club in boston...'One got to pick from different shows and you could ask for Balco, orch, etc. A few times , at the Fisher theater in Detroit. I noticed back and forth conversations amongst a dozen or so people who all seemed to know each other and I assumed they ordered the 4 or 5 productions you could order in the summer before the start of the season, which is why they))were all down front in the orchestra. If you are ordering way in advance, thus providing a financial cushion for the various shows, Shouldn't you be getting the pick of the litter , seatwise?

All negative from my POV. I've never had such a bad theatre ticket purchasing experience. I got kicked out three times. There were many many minutes between screens moving. I finally got my tickets at 10:50 and they're lousy seats. I'm a Lincoln Center Theater member and this is no way to treat a member. When shows are produced at Lincoln Center, the seat availability is great. When they produce shows at other Broadway theatres, the selection is terrible. No, I'm not going to cancel my membership because I usually love the shows that they produce. But still I can complain.

Slightly off topic. Do we pay the service charge if renewing memberships in person? (Hey, it's a latte dough!)
