Joining these lovable ladies of the night — and day — is their talented musical director Blake Rowe. See and hear what they’re “cooking up” for your after-dinner entertainment. All proceeds from this night of music, fun, and frolic will go to support the charitable programs of the Episcopal Actors’ Guild (EAG) (actorsguild.org). EAG, established in 1923, is a charitable organization offering emergency financial assistance and career support to NYC’s professional performing artists “of all faiths, and none.” Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door starting 20 minutes before the show. Reservations can be made by emailing reservations@actorsguild.org and are strongly encouraged. Snider and Sherwood have played at NYC's landmark Symphony Space, the New York Historical Society, and clubs along the city's famous Restaurant Row; at such cabaret houses as Don't Tell Mama, Broadway Baby, and Panache; and at theaters, museums, restaurants, colleges, and private soirees throughout the city and county. AEA and SDC member Snider has toured nationally with Mitzi Gaynor in Anything Goes and has performed in TV as well as film. She has taught or directed at numerous venues from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts to NYU to Westchester Arts Council and the Yeshiva College Dramatic Society. Sherwood (AEA, SAG-AFTRA) has appeared in productions of Dancing at Lughnasa and The Dining Room; in shows at the Amateur Comedy Club; with Soho Rep; and in musical offerings at the Encompass Theater, Village Light Opera Group (VLOG) and Lincoln Center. Blake Rowe (pianist, teacher and singer-songwriter) received a Parents' Choice Award for his songs for children and honorable mention on the Children's Music Web Awards. Rowe teaches music at the Fieldston Lower Elementary School in Riverdale, NY and performs at local village fairs, open mics, and coffee houses. His solo piano CD, Meditations at Midnight, is a collection of introspective harmonic explorations. Doors open at 6:40 pm. Readings will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. |
