Congrats on getting into FringeNYC.

In years past, they have had a deal with backstage.com allowing for free posting of audition notices, so you might look out for that; no guarantee they will be doing it this year, but it's certainly possible. (Normally, Backstage.com charges $, although not a ton).

The other place to post audition notices, one that I have found to be the BEST source for actors willing to do Fringe (and other indie) shows, is Actors Access / Breakdown Express (Actors Access is what actors visit; Breakdown Express is where shows post notices). That service is completely free for shows, and I've found that it has a lot MORE actors who respond to postings that does Backstage.com. I also have found that their interface is more user-friendly than Backstage, although that might be a matter of personal preference.

A lot will depend on whether or not your show will be an AEA Fringe showcase.

i wouldn't post casting notices on Playbill; posting something there looking for creatives is more common, although I'm not sure how good the results are. FringeNYC has in the past had a directors match-up event; not sure if they are doing that this year. The best for finding creatives is to get recs from people you talk with. A LOT will depend on your budget. And obviously, whoever you bring on as your director should be significantly involved in the casting process and the finding designers process. You need to find a director first, and then go from there. (And your director may well know of actors and designers).

Keep in mind that FringeNYC tends to suck up a lot of the people doing indie-type projects. Although this year has half the number of shows, so that effect might be less prevalent.

I would also say start looking ASAP for a good stage manager. That is the most difficult search you will have. Actors are (in comparison) a dime a dozen.
