Gotta love someone who could come up with "Fuck me, Ray Bradbury." And I admire the continued inventiveness of CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, with music numbers in many genres, sharp-edged comedy, lots of theatre folks in the cast--and, most importantly, blunt Acknowledgment of the problem of mental illness today.

But not the gushing fangirl bits here.

That said, and I would have to rewatch the broadcast to be certain, but I think for every Bloom segment, they did NOT do a ten-second voice-over listing upcoming presenters and awards before going to commercials. And they have those teasers before every set of commercials, save the ones right after the memorial.

Which means it's likely that eliminating Bloom would not gain any time for anything useful, you know, like Best Score or Lifetime Achievement--or even letting playwrights talk for thirty seconds, because they always have those teasers.

Unless someone with more patience than I can confirm that the Bloom bits were followed by voiceovers, too. In which case, my theory collapses...kind of like me, these days.
