Everyone I've spoken to, in and out of the business, felt this number and "Island's" were the two best musical sequences on the show. The old school precision and elegance matched the gorgeous music, and the show looked unmissable.
Perfectly scaled to the Radio City stage, no small feat.
I'd say, some of the best thinking of the night. Many people are exhausted with medleys, shoehorned scene and costume changes and a lot of quick camera work to cover the seams. This was uninterrupted skill and artistry. |
