| Possibly. Who knows? There have been many posts like this one on ATC over the years. There really are no definitive answers. Every show is its own animal. However, Geffen, Mackintosh, and the Shuberts were smart businessmen. The decision they made worked out pretty well for themselves, their investors, and for the show itself. Little Shop of Horrors has remained an enduring classic musical that continues to be a very popular show in regional theatre 35 years after its debut. |
