That's funny! Her playbill bio for Sugar in '99 is pretty vague when it comes to previous credits. It reads (in part): Katrina Lenk . . . continues to play the best viola and sing with the band.
It's been almost 20 years since I saw her in Sugar at Theater at the Center. The production was quite memorable, featured a number of respected veteran Chicago area actors, and was much better than the national tour with Tony Curtis that I saw in '03.
I've seen over 70 shows at Steppenwolf going back to the early 90's. I wish the Northwestern article was a little more specific about which plays she appeared in there. If I feel ambitious, I may go through some of those playbills. If I find any of her Steppenwolf credits, I'll post about them. |
