I saw MFL at yesterday's matinee. It would have been nice to share this performance with Jake Gyllenhaal, although I doubt I would have paid much attention to him because the production was consistently engaging.
Ambrose and especially Hadden-Paton were exceptional. She inhabits her character completely and her Ascot scene is absolutely wonderful. His last scene is revelatory.
The show ran three hours and time passed in a flash. Wow!
This kind of joy is rarely seen in productions these days. |
