YES. She's definitely in the midst of an extended cultural (if not pop cultural) "moment," but I hope this all continues for her. She seems like someone who might truly be able to keep one foot in popular music and one foot in musical theatre for as long as she would like.

I think the collaboration with Shaina Taub was particularly inspired because they both have similar voices. It was a seamless blend of sensibilities, perspectives, and experiences and I would love to hear an entire evening of that pairing. Any hints as to what possible future projects for Bareilles might be? Her involvement would interest me in even the most banal and commercial of adaptations.

Side note: When are we going to get a new Shaina Taub musical? I keep hearing about a Suffragette project in development, but no production planned as yet. Those Public Works Shakespeare adaptations have me primed for more.
