I've seen clips from the 1971 Tonys, and it's such a time capsule to have all those Best Musical moments, many with their original stars.
But to make time for it, didn't they cut any numbers from that season's nominated musicals?
That would be: ''Company,'' ''The Me Nobody Knows'' and ''The Rothschilds.'' Or were they represented somehow?
And does anyone recall that year the Tonys actually saluted all the Best Plays from the past? They had actors recite one line from each show. |
