When I first answered below, I was thinking only of real people, but among imaginary or fictional characters — or at least I regard these two as fictional — we have Adam and Eve in The Apple Tree, Children of Eden, a ballet in Can-Can, and probably in some other shows.
And if we're including sequels, we have several characters in Of Thee I Sing and Let 'Em Eat Cake, in Annie and Annie Warbucks (and Annie 2: Miss Hannigan's Revenge), in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Snoopy (although I'm not sure if Snoopy is officially a sequel), in Bye Bye Birdie and Bring Back Birdie, and perhaps one or two others not coming to mind.
Returning to real people, Louise Hovick aka Gypsy Rose Lee is in both Gypsy and Ain't Broadway Grand. |
