I don’t believe she was a front runner for ‘Macbeth’ or for ‘Rose. ‘ I remember thinking she gave adequate performances in merely adequate productions. She was brilliant in ‘Strange Interlude.’ I don’t know that she was a front runner for a Tony but I also don’t recall her competition that season.
