I saw that 1985 revival of ''Strange Interlude'' and found Glenda Jackson & Edward Petherbridge compelling, but the play just ''Strange.''
The more memorable ''Strange Interlude'' (to me) is the one that Groucho Marx has as Capt. Spaulding in ''Animal Crackers'' (1930).
''If I were Eugene O'Neill, I really could tell you what I think of you two. … Pardon me while I have a strange interlude ...''
