thanks for the links! fascinating to see those shots of the cast and glimpses of the set.
I wasn't questioning Michael's ability to afford an apartment of that size but rather how he could outfit and maintain one that looked as gleaming in the one I saw on stage last night. in these archive pictures the set looks a little shabbier and improvised-- the one last night looked like it was done by an interior designer working closely with personal shoppers...decades ago.
...and that closet was something out of American Gigolo. I just didn't see how he could do it, even given relatively inexpensive rents.
