But, just as Fritz Weaver, Tammy Grimes, Brian Bedford and probably countless others who won Tony awards weren't given the honor and respect of theater lights being dimmed on their passing, the "rhyme or reason" seems to simply come down to who is--or is perceived to be--a big enough celebrity to "make the cut." With the lights dimming, it's those Broadway troupers Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds who did. |
