| Barrington Stage is a very unique enterprise in as much as they have created Broadway caliber/worthy productions while operating under a very limited budget, remarkable considering the current theatrical climate. I would suggest that the videos they are able to create for their subscribers are not at this juncture the kind of thing that Papermill might be able to create having access to videographers in NYC but I feel that their mission statement with these "teases" is to give their audience a crude early peek into the early rehearsal process. I also would suggest that this production will find it's way to Broadway and be a huge success. I have worked with both BSC and William Finn and I am thrilled for this success that although relies on source material is not rooted in any film and is thoroughly and enjoyably a love letter to Broadway. Bravo Mr Finn and the irrepressible Julie Boyd. |
