That chase from ''High Button Shoes'' (''On a Sunday by the Sea'') was always one of my favorite numbers in ''Jerome Robbins' Broadway.''
It was such a riot watching all those beachgoers, Keystone Kops and gorilla (!) racing in and out of the doors of a row of cabanas.
Not a slapstick sight you'll often see, considering ''High Button Shoes'' isn't revived all that often.
I looked on YouTube, hoping to find a snippet of that chase, but found ''Ballet: High Button Shoes'' instead. What dance company is this?
This ''ballet'' has nothing to do with the show's plot, but it appears to use the cast recording of ''Jerome Robbins'.'' |
