Just finished watching CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT for the book cub I belong to. Also reading Harold Bloom's book on Falstaff. Bloom declares up front that he's in love with Falstaff, etc. My view of the character is the exact opposite of Bloom's. A character who does match Bloom's description is on e Pan Zagloba in Henryk Sienkiewicz Fire and Swod Trilogy.
