As a 10yr old to be taken to the Pearl Bailey cast of Hello Dolly. Knowing that they closed down the show in New York to bring the cast to the Muny. It was a tour de force. She was in rare form with her ad libs and her shticks when airplanes would fly over. And the encore with Cab Calloway was so great.
I wonder if other shows on broadway have closed for a week for a similar gig. |
